The MC-1100it has a full swivel headstock for over size out board turning, a multi position tool rest which can be instantly clamped any where along the lathes bed. Boring a centre hole up a lamp stand column is easily accomplished with both machines via the hollow tailstock barrel, a feature not found on some lathes with a much more expensive price tag. Changes of the spindle speed are as easy as turning the speed control lever to activate the 'Reeves Drive' - one pulley closes and the other expands. The heavy duty machined cast iron bed is ideal for absorbing vibration. The head stock of the MC-1100 can be positioned any where along the bed length and the stand features a tray to store your turning tools.
